The Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations has started to gain importance, especially in our rapidly changing and developing world, as a large part of the society is involved in working life. The department concentrates its educational and research activities on social policy and social services in general, and in the fields of labor relations between workers and employers and union developments in particular. In addition to general economics and business education, students of this department are taught issues related to human social life and working life at an expert level from social, legal and economic perspectives. Students who graduate from the department receive the title of "Labor Economist".
